First, confirm the basic pre-charging preparation parameters for electric forklift battery units before any operation. The standard recommended ambient temperature for charging is between 0℃ and 45℃, and the ambient humidity should be kept below 90% without condensed water. It is not allowed to place the battery unit in a closed space with poor ventilation during the whole charging process, to avoid potential safety risks caused by heat accumulation during energy conversion.
For the charging current parameter settings, refer to the nominal capacity of the battery unit, the conventional charging current shall not exceed 0.2C under normal temperature environment, and the fast charging current shall not exceed 0.5C under the designated working condition, to avoid irreversible damage to the internal active material of the battery caused by long time overcurrent charging. The full charging cut-off voltage shall be set in strict accordance with the nominal voltage of the series battery pack, and do not adjust the protection threshold of the BMS system without professional permission.
Daily maintenance work shall be carried out in accordance with the prescribed operation process. Before each charging, check whether the surface of the battery shell is deformed, scratched or leaked, and clean the dust and sundries on the surface of the battery and the joint of the wiring terminal regularly, to keep the heat dissipation channel unobstructed. For the electric forklift in long-term idle state, it is recommended to carry out supplementary charging once every 30 days, keep the battery power level between 40% and 60% for storage, and regularly test the voltage difference of each single cell, so that the battery unit can always maintain good working performance.
