Special Requirements for AGVs in Cold Chain Low Temperature Storage
Stability requirements in low temperature environments
The ambient temperature of cold chain low-temperature storage is usually below 0 ° C, and the temperature of some freezers is as low as -25 ° C, which poses a severe test to the electronic components and mechanical structure of the equipment. Conventional automation equipment is prone to problems such as battery performance attenuation, lubricating oil solidification, and control module failure in low temperature environments. Therefore, AGVs suitable for cold chain scenarios must have stable low temperature tolerance to ensure long-term continuous operation.
Storage space adaptation requirements
In order to improve space utilization, cold chain warehousing often uses high-level shelves and narrow aisles, requiring AGVs to have flexible steering capabilities and accurate positioning accuracy, so that they can not only pass smoothly in narrow aisles, but also complete the pick-and-place operations of high-level shelves to avoid space waste and cargo collisions.
Cold chain adaptation operation characteristics of forward-moving AGV
Hardware configuration for low temperature tolerance
The forward-moving AGV suitable for cold chain scenarios has been specifically optimized in hardware configuration. The core electronic components are of low-temperature tolerance type, the mechanical components are of low-temperature special lubricating oil, and the battery system is equipped with low-temperature preheating and insulation design to ensure stable performance output in low-temperature environments and reduce the failure rate.
Flexibility for narrow channel operations
This type of AGV adopts a forward-moving structure design, with a compact and flexible body and a minimum turning radius to meet the needs of narrow passages. It can complete steering and driving operations in a channel only 1.2 times the width of the body. With a precise navigation system, it can efficiently shuttle between high-level shelves in cold chain storage to improve space utilization.
The efficiency of accurate pick and place
In response to the high-level shelf pick-up and drop requirements of cold chain warehousing, the forward-moving AGV is equipped with a liftable forward fork, which can accurately reach cargo positions at different heights. With laser navigation and visual recognition technology, it can achieve fast pick-up and drop of goods. The single-cycle operation time is about 15% shorter than that of conventional AGVs, improving the efficiency of warehousing operations.
Adaptability of energy consumption optimization
Taking into account the problem of accelerated battery energy consumption in low-temperature environments, the AGV adopts an energy management system that can automatically adjust the power output according to the operation scenario, reduce energy consumption during standby or low-speed driving, and extend the duration of a single charge operation through kinetic energy recovery technology to reduce the charging frequency.
