The smooth operation of the steering system of the electric forklift is the key to ensuring the efficiency and safety of the operation. If there is a problem with the steering motor card, it will not only increase the labor intensity of the operator, but also may cause hidden dangers in the operation. For the failure of the steering motor card of the electric BYD forklift, it is necessary to investigate and locate the root cause of the problem through the system, and then implement accurate maintenance for the corresponding accessories.
First, carry out a pre-fault investigation. First check whether the power supply is stable, confirm whether the battery voltage meets the rated standard, whether the line is loose or oxidized, and rule out the motor power shortage card caused by abnormal power supply; then check the steering rod, steering bridge and other external mechanical parts to see if there is any jamming, deformation or foreign body blocking, and confirm whether the motor load exceeds the standard due to excessive external mechanical resistance; finally disassemble the motor shell to visually check the wear and damage of the internal parts, and lock the specific faulty parts.
For different faulty parts, implement corresponding maintenance plans. If it is a steering gear assembly card, first clean the oil and foreign matter in the gearbox, polish and repair the slightly worn gear, and replace the new gear assembly if the wear is serious. Ensure that the gear meshing accuracy is up to standard during assembly, and add grease of suitable specifications to reduce running friction. If the brush and commutator fail, replace the new brush of the matching model, and polish the surface of the commutator at the same time to remove the oxide layer and wear grooves. Adjust the brush pressure to a suitable range to ensure stable current transmission. If the bearing is damaged, disassemble the motor and remove the worn and stuck bearing, clean the bearing seat and replace the new bearing of the same type. Pay attention to the installation direction and lubrication when assembling to avoid the card again due to improper assembly. If the stator winding is faulty, confirm the short circuit and open circuit by detecting the winding resistance value, and re-wind the winding or replace the stator components to ensure that the winding insulation performance meets the operating standards.
Routine maintenance can also effectively prevent steering motor cards. Regularly check the running status of the motor, dismantle and clean up internal oil and impurities every quarter, and replace worn seals in time to prevent foreign matter from invading; regularly check the degree of brush wear and replace it in advance before the wear reaches the critical value; keep the mechanical parts of the steering system lubricated, regularly check the status of the gearbox grease and replace it; avoid overloading the forklift or working on bad roads for a long time, reduce the load pressure of the motor and prolong the service life of the parts.
