This pre-shift inspection guidance is formulated for daily operation of 3.5-ton warehouse electric forklift trucks, to help standardize operation behaviors and reduce unnecessary safety risks in common warehousing scenarios.
Before formally starting the equipment, operators need to carry out full perimeter inspection first. Walk around the whole forklift to check if there is obvious deformation or damage on the vehicle body, check the wear degree and air pressure of all tires, confirm there is no exposed or damaged wiring on the outer part of the vehicle, and no obvious oil or liquid leakage at the bottom of the equipment.
Next step is to check power and control system. After turning on the power switch, confirm the battery power display stays in normal working range, test the foot brake and hand brake separately to make sure the braking response is sensitive and the braking distance meets safety requirements. Then test the steering system to check if the full range of steering operation is smooth, no stuttering or abnormal noise.
Then check the working attachment parts. Check the deformation status of the two forks, test the lifting and tilting movement of the gantry to make sure the whole movement process runs smoothly. Finally trigger all the lighting devices and warning buzzers to confirm the signal output is normal.
If any abnormal situation is found during the whole inspection process, operators should report to the management staff immediately, and do not start the operation with fault.
