Selection points need to fit the characteristics of the workshop. First of all, do a good job of matching the explosion-proof grade. Select the corresponding standard according to the type of hazardous medium in the workshop. The gas environment can refer to the explosion-proof grade of Class II, and the dust environment corresponds to Class III. At the same time, combine the temperature group of the medium to ensure that the surface temperature of the equipment will not cause the medium to explode. Secondly, the power type is adapted. The lithium-battery electric forklift has high energy density, stable battery life, and a more complete sealing structure, which can effectively block the intrusion of dust and is suitable for workshops with more dust. Lead-acid electric forklift has low cost, but it needs to be well sealed and protected by electrolyte to avoid contact with corrosive media. In addition, it is also necessary to consider the adaptation of the working environment. According to the width of the workshop passage, the weight of the goods, and the frequency of operation, a forklift with the appropriate load capacity and turning radius is selected to avoid operating hazards due to equipment size discrepancies.
Safety configuration needs to cover multi-dimensional protection. In terms of protective structure, the body shell is made of wear-resistant and explosion-proof material to reduce the generation of friction sparks; electrical components such as motors and controllers need to be flame-proof to isolate dangerous media through sealed structures; the hydraulic system adopts spark-free design to prevent danger caused by friction of hydraulic components. On the safety device, it is equipped with a dust concentration monitoring and alarm device to issue an early warning in time when it exceeds the standard; set an emergency power-off switch to quickly cut off the power supply in an emergency; install an overload protection device to avoid equipment failure caused by overload operations; use fireproof flower tires to prevent friction from generating sparks during driving. The daily maintenance configuration cannot be ignored either. Establish a regular explosion-proof testing mechanism to regularly check the status of electrical seals and explosion-proof components. Clean up the dust accumulated on the surface and inside of the equipment in a timely manner to prevent dust accumulation from causing danger. Operators need to undergo professional training and be proficient in the operation specifications and emergency handling procedures of explosion-proof forklifts.
