In the 2-ton electric storage and handling equipment, there are currently two mainstream power types of lithium batteries and lead-acid, and many users who have procurement or replacement needs will hesitate between the two. They may wish to compare several core dimensions of daily use and combine them with their own scene characteristics to make a choice.
In terms of daily maintenance, lead-acid powered forklifts need to operate a number of things regularly, such as checking and replenishing distilled water or special electrolyte every once in a while, cleaning the battery surface and terminals to prevent corrosion and leakage, and paying attention to avoid overcharging or discharging when charging, so as not to affect the overall service life of the battery. Lithium-powered forklifts are relatively simple to maintain, do not need to replenish liquids, and do not need to clean the terminals frequently. You only need to pay attention to whether the battery shell is obviously scratched every day.
In terms of charging efficiency and flexibility, lead-acid-powered forklifts generally take 8 to 12 hours to be fully charged. If the power is insufficient in the middle, the effect of temporary replenishment is limited. Many high-frequency use scenarios will be equipped with backup batteries to ensure continuous operation. Lithium-powered forklifts support fast charging mode, which can usually meet the power demand of all-day operations in 1 to 3 hours, and can also be charged at any time during the operation gap, without delaying the normal workflow.
In terms of environmental adaptability, lithium-powered forklifts have a wider range of temperature adaptations, generally maintaining stable output performance between minus 20 degrees Celsius and minus 40 degrees Celsius. Lead-acid-powered forklifts will perform worse in low temperature environments, and the discharge capacity may be reduced by about half at about minus 10 degrees Celsius. Special attention should also be paid to ventilation and heat dissipation when used in high temperature environments.
Two types of 2-ton electric forklifts have their own characteristics. Lead-acid power is suitable for ordinary room temperature indoor storage or lightweight open-air handling operations with short daily working hours and low frequency of use. Such scenarios do not require high energy replenishment speed and environment. Lithium power is suitable for high-load operation sites with long daily working hours and multiple shifts, such as high-frequency picking and handling of fresh food e-commerce, room temperature or part of the low temperature operation of cold chain logistics, and narrow areas of the site that need to be flexibly replenished in the operation gap. Users can judge according to their actual situation when selecting models.
