Before placing the idle electric forklift into designated storage area, operators should complete basic cleaning work first. Remove residual packaging debris, chemical residues and dust on the car body, fork and wheel surface, check the tire wear degree and tire pressure to avoid long-term force deformation caused by insufficient air pressure. Check whether the operation levers, brake system and warning lights return to normal state, and record the basic state of the equipment for subsequent inspection.
Battery Targeted Protection
The power battery is the core component of electric forklift, which needs special care during idle period. It is not recommended to store the equipment with full power for more than 30 days, nor to leave the equipment in deep power deficit state for a long time. It is suggested to arrange special personnel to check the battery power every 15 days, and complete appropriate supplementary charging when the remaining power is lower than 40%, to keep the battery activity at a reasonable level. The storage position should be far away from heat source, open fire and corrosive goods, to avoid safety risks.
Appropriate Storage Environment Arrangement
The idle electric forklift should be parked on flat, dry and hard ground, avoid long-term exposure to outdoor sunlight, rain or accumulated water immersion, so as to prevent the aging of circuit shell and paint peeling. Do not place other heavy goods on the car body, do not pull the operation lever to the wrong position by force, to avoid the deformation of internal parts caused by long-term abnormal stress.
Regular Patrol and Startup Test
For equipment that needs to be stored for more than 1 month, it is recommended to arrange on-site inspection once a week, start the equipment for no-load operation for 5 to 10 minutes, confirm that the driving system, hydraulic lifting system and lighting system operate normally, and make corresponding operation records.
