First, pre-operation checks are crucial. Before use, carefully inspect all components of the lifting attachment: check if the hooks have cracks or deformation, if the chains are worn, stretched or rusted, and if the connecting parts are secure. At the same time, confirm that the forklift's rated load capacity is sufficient to bear the total weight of the bulk bag and the lifting attachment to avoid overload risks. Also, inspect the bulk bag itself to ensure the lifting loops are intact, and the bag body has no damage or loose stitches to prevent material leakage during handling.
Next are the specific operating steps. Drive the forklift smoothly to the side of the bulk bag, adjust the forklift position so that the lifting attachment aligns with the lifting loops of the bulk bag. Lower the lifting attachment slowly, hook each hook accurately into the corresponding lifting loop, ensuring the lifting loops are fully embedded in the hooks and all loops bear force evenly to avoid one-side overload. Then, lift the forklift forks slowly until the bulk bag is about 30 cm off the ground, pause to check the balance of the bulk bag. If it tilts, lower it immediately to adjust the hook positions. During movement, keep low-speed driving, avoid sudden acceleration, braking or steering to prevent the bulk bag from swinging or falling. After reaching the designated position, lower the bulk bag slowly, ensure it is placed stably on the ground or pallet, and only unhook after confirming stability.
Maintenance is key to extending the service life of the lifting attachment. Inspect the device regularly, especially the chains and hooks. Replace parts immediately once wear exceeds safety standards. After each use, clean residual materials on the surface of the device to prevent material accumulation from corroding components. When storing the device, choose a dry and ventilated place, avoid exposure to rain, snow or high-temperature environments. In addition, lubricate moving parts regularly, such as the hook's rotating shaft and chain joints, to ensure smooth operation and reduce wear.
Finally, keep safety operating regulations in mind. All operators must receive professional training and be familiar with the operating procedures of the lifting attachment and forklift. During handling, it is strictly forbidden for personnel to stand under or beside the bulk bag to prevent injury from accidental falling. Always pay attention to the surrounding environment, avoid obstacles and personnel, and ensure the operation area is safe. If any abnormal situation is found during operation, stop using it immediately and check the problem, then continue only after confirming safety.
