In the daily operation of electric forklifts, abnormal meter power display is a more common type of fault. It is often manifested as a jump in power value, no display, or a large deviation from the actual remaining power, which not only affects the operation time planning, but also may cause battery life concerns. When encountering such problems, it is recommended to conduct a preliminary investigation first: check whether the connection line between the meter and the battery pack is loose or oxidized, and try to re-plug the wiring plug to see if the fault is eliminated. If it is determined that the abnormality is caused by the damage of the display screen accessories after the investigation, the replacement operation can be carried out according to the standard steps.
The first step is to prepare for safety protection: first turn off the main switch of the forklift power supply, disconnect the battery cable, and completely cut off the power supply to avoid the risk of electric shock during operation. The second step is to disassemble the instrument shell: find the fixed buckle on the edge of the instrument, use a plastic spudger to gently pry it to avoid scratching the shell or damaging the internal structure. After all the buckles are loosened, carefully remove the outer cover of the instrument. The third step is to take out the old display screen: carefully observe the wiring method of the display screen, mark the connection position of each line, then unplug the terminal one by one, hold the edge of the display screen and gently remove it from the installation slot. Be careful not to pull the line and cause damage. Step 4: Install the new display screen: Align the new display screen with the installation slot to ensure that it fits in place, and then plug in the terminals one by one according to the previously marked positions to confirm that each terminal is firmly connected and there is no loosening or misalignment. Step 5: Test and reset: Reconnect the battery cable, turn on the main power switch, observe whether the meter's power display returns to normal, and after testing the various functions without abnormality, align the outer cover of the meter with the buckle position, and gently press until you hear the sound of buckle engagement to complete the shell reset.
During the replacement process, several details need to be paid attention to: try to use plastic tools during operation to avoid metal tools scratching the circuit board; the new display screen needs to be handled with care to avoid bumping and damaging the internal precision components; after the replacement is completed, multiple start-stop tests should be carried out to ensure that the power display is accurate and stable. In daily use, the status of the wiring part of the instrument should also be checked regularly, and the surface dust and oxide layer should be cleaned to reduce the failure caused by circuit problems and prolong the service life of accessories.
