Ramps for electric forklift access are widely deployed in warehouse loading zones, factory height difference connection areas and outdoor storage yards, and anti-slip performance is the core factor to guarantee stable and safe daily handling operations.
First, basic friction coefficient requirements
The static friction coefficient of the ramp surface under dry normal condition shall not be lower than 0.6, and the value shall not be lower than 0.45 even under wet condition or with small amount of scattered cargo residues, to avoid accidental slip of moving electric forklifts during acceleration, deceleration or full load climbing.
Second, reasonable surface texture design
The ramp surface shall be processed with evenly distributed shallow anti-slip grooves, the depth of grooves shall be controlled within reasonable range, and all sharp edges of the grooves shall be passivated, to prevent scratching the solid or pneumatic tires of electric forklifts, while avoiding excessive accumulation of sundries that is difficult to clean in daily maintenance.
Third, auxiliary anti-slip structure settings
Two ends of the ramp connecting to flat ground shall be equipped with extended anti-slip sections, the length of which shall be no less than 1.2 times of the front wheel base of matched electric forklifts. Low-position anti-slip guard edges can be installed on two sides of the ramp, to reduce the risk of side slip of forklift wheels caused by misoperation.
Fourth, load matching anti-slip performance
The anti-slip surface layer shall be able to bear the full working weight of electric forklift with rated full load, no permanent depression or deformation shall occur after long-term use, to keep stable anti-slip effect in the whole operation cycle.
