When using portable ramps to assist electric forklifts to complete cross-height loading and unloading operations in daily scenarios, regular and standardized bearing-capacity testing is a key measure to eliminate hidden safety risks and extend the service life of accessories.
Before the formal test, you need to complete pre-inspection work first. Check the overall appearance of the portable ramp, confirm that there is no obvious crack, deformation or damage on the stress structure surface, remove all sundries on the contact position between the ramp and the supporting base, adjust the placement angle to keep the two ends of the ramp in stable contact with the supporting platform, and fix the anti-slip limit device to avoid displacement during the test.
For the static bearing test, select the test load that matches the maximum working load of the electric forklift you use daily, place the load evenly on the middle bearing area of the ramp, keep the static state for no less than 15 minutes, observe the stress performance of all welds and load-bearing plates of the ramp, and confirm that the deformation amount is within the allowable safety range before proceeding to the next test step.
For the dynamic bearing test, drive the electric forklift slowly through the ramp for 3 to 5 round trips, control the driving speed below 3km/h during the whole process, observe the operation state of the ramp in real time, and confirm that there is no abnormal displacement, sharp abnormal noise or obvious bending phenomenon.
After the test, you can record the relevant test data properly, and it is recommended to re-conduct the full standard test every 3 months or after the ramp is subjected to accidental heavy impact.
