The reversing alarm system of the electric forklift is one of the core configurations to ensure the safety of the factory operation. If the reversing alarm does not respond, most of them are related to the damage of the alarm lamp accessories. Replacing the suitable lamp accessories in time can quickly restore the system warning function and avoid the risk of collision during the operation. The following brings you a standardized replacement operation tutorial.
Make safety preparations first. Before any maintenance operation, park the electric forklift in a flat, debris-free designated area, pull up the parking brake, and turn off the vehicle's main power switch to ensure that the forklift is completely stationary and powered off, so as to avoid the risk of abnormal movement or electric shock during operation.
Then check and confirm the root cause of the fault. First check the external circuit connection of the reversing alarm to see if the wiring plug is loose and the line skin is damaged or broken. If there is no obvious abnormality in the line, you can briefly turn on the power supply for testing (power failure immediately after testing) to confirm that the failure of the alarm is caused by damage to the lamp accessories, not other circuit problems, to avoid misoperation.
Then disassemble the old alarm light fixture. Find the location of the alarm light fixture installed at the rear of the forklift, use the appropriate screwdriver to unscrew the fastening screw to fix the light fixture, and gently remove the light fixture shell. Be careful not to pull the internal wiring hard. Then pinch the buckle part of the wiring plug, pull out the plug smoothly, remove the old light fixture completely and place it in the dedicated storage area to prevent parts from being lost or damaged.
Then install the new alarm lamp. Take out the new alarm lamp suitable for the forklift model, align the pin position of the wiring plug, gently insert and confirm that the buckle is in place to avoid false connection and wrong connection. Place the lamp accurately in the original installation position, and use a screwdriver to screw the fastening screw to a suitable force to ensure that the lamp is firmly fixed and prevent damage to the lamp shell or installation base due to excessive tightening.
Finally complete the test acceptance. After the installation is completed, turn on the main power switch again, put the forklift into the reversing gear, and test whether the reversing alarm issues a warning signal normally. If the alarm returns to normal response, it means that the replacement operation is successful; if there is still no response, you need to check again whether the wiring is firm or whether the lamps are suitable. If necessary, consult professional maintenance personnel to assist in the investigation.
During the operation, it is necessary to pay attention to the selection of alarm lighting accessories that are fully compatible with the specifications of the forklift to avoid failure to install or abnormal functions due to non-compliance with the specifications. At the same time, hand protection should be done during operation to avoid being scratched by sharp parts and ensure the safety of maintenance operations.
