Halo safety lights are widely adopted in warehouse and factory operation scenarios, to remind surrounding walking personnel of the moving trace of electric forklifts and effectively reduce accidental collision risks. A correct mounting position is the core precondition to give full play to the warning effect of such safety lights.
For the front end of the electric forklift, the halo safety light is suggested to be installed at the lower edge of the vehicle head guard frame, 30 to 50 cm above the ground. This position will not block the driver's normal operation sight, and can project a clear annular warning zone 1 to 2 meters in front of the vehicle body, without being blocked by the pallet or goods loaded under the fork.
For the rear part of the electric forklift, the recommended mounting position is the lower edge of the counterweight enclosure, 40 to 60 cm away from the ground. The projected annular warning zone can cover 1.5 to 3 meters behind the vehicle, which can timely remind the walking personnel behind the reversing forklift to avoid the driving route in advance.
It is not recommended to install the safety light on the top of the forklift overhead guard, as too high position will lead to the projected halo zone being too large and blurred, the warning effect will be greatly reduced. Also avoid mounting the light on the mud guard or other movable accessories, to prevent the offset of the projection position caused by long-term vehicle vibration.
