Pre-shift inspection on the attachments fitted to electric forklift trucks is a necessary daily operation procedure for all logistics and warehousing teams, which can effectively eliminate hidden safety risks in advance, reduce unexpected equipment downtime, and extend the overall service life of the supporting attachments.
Before you start the main power system of the electric forklift, you should first complete the static appearance inspection for all attachments. You need to check the external structure of the attachment to confirm there is no obvious crack, deformation, wear beyond the specified range, or loose connecting components. You also need to check all the locking bolts, positioning pins, and hydraulic connecting pipes of the attachment, make sure there is no oil leakage, no missing fixing parts, and all connecting positions are firm and reliable.
After finishing the static inspection, you can turn on the main power of the electric forklift to carry out no-load functional test. Operate each control action of the attachment separately, check the corresponding movements including lifting, rotating, clamping, side shifting and other customized functions to confirm all actions are smooth, no abnormal jamming, sharp noise or delayed response.
Finally, you can carry out small-load trial operation with goods less than 30% of the rated load, to verify the load-bearing performance, braking and positioning effect of the attachment, confirm it meets the safety operation requirements before you put the whole equipment into formal work.
