Measurement background of 24-hour production battery life in lithium forklift workshop

In modern manufacturing, many workshops use a 24-hour continuous operation mode to improve production efficiency, and the battery life stability of on-site handling equipment directly affects the production rhythm. Lithium-ion forklifts have gradually become the mainstream choice for workshop handling due to their characteristics of zero emissions and fast power response. However, the actual battery life performance in the 24-hour continuous production scenario is still the core focus of enterprise selection. Based on this, we carried out this battery life measurement close to the real operating environment.

The whole process of battery life measurement of lithium battery forklift

Measured environment setting

A typical parts processing workshop was selected for this test. The workshop covers a variety of handling tasks such as raw material loading and unloading, cross-regional transfer of work in progress, and finished product warehousing. During the test, the routine operation intensity of the workshop was simulated, the forklift load was maintained at 70% of the rated load, and the operation route covered the main production area and storage area of the workshop. The single handling distance was about 50-100 meters, and the hourly handling frequency was about 15-20 times.

Measured operation details

The test adopts a three-shift operation mode, each shift lasts 8 hours. Before the test, the lithium battery forklift is fully charged, and the remaining power is recorded after each shift. The power replenishment or power replacement operation is arranged according to the actual power situation in the middle. Record the working hours, standby time, power replenishment time and power consumption rate of the forklift throughout the process to ensure that the data is close to the real operation state.

Measured battery life performance and application reference

battery life data summary

After 24 hours of continuous measurement, the lithium-ion forklift can support about 8-9 hours of efficient operation under normal operating intensity under a single full charge. When the remaining power is reduced to 20%, it can be replenished to 80% in only 30 minutes through the rapid power replenishment facility, which can connect to the operation needs of the next shift; if the power replacement mode is adopted, the power replacement process only takes 5 minutes, which can achieve zero interruption of the operation.

Suggestions for adaptation scenarios

For workshops with 24-hour continuous production, if the operation intensity is high, it is recommended to configure a special power changing cabinet to ensure the continuity of operation through the power changing mode; if the operation intensity is relatively low, slow charging can be used during off-peak hours at night to meet the needs of the next day's operation. In addition, enterprises can reasonably plan the location of charging points according to their own workshop layout to reduce the time loss of forklift round-trip charging.

This test verifies the battery life adaptability of lithium-ion forklifts in a 24-hour production workshop. Through a reasonable energy management strategy, it can effectively meet the handling needs of continuous production, providing a practical reference for the selection of enterprise handling equipment.
