Many low-temperature operation scenarios, such as cold storage warehouses, northern open-air industrial sites in winter, and frozen food distribution yards, put forward higher requirements for the daily use of electric forklifts. Standardized cold-weather operation can effectively reduce unnecessary equipment wear, extend the service life of core components, and ensure stable and efficient on-site operation.
First, complete full pre-operation inspection before daily startup. In low temperature environment, staff need to check the battery shell for ice accumulation, confirm that all power connection parts are tight without looseness, check that the tire tread has no frozen debris stuck, and test the braking system for flexibility under no-load condition. Do not start the forklift with full load immediately, it is recommended to run the equipment at idle speed for 3 to 5 minutes, to fully preheat the hydraulic system, power system and other core components, and avoid hard operation of low-viscosity cold lubricating oil.
Second, follow standardized operation specifications during operation. The chemical activity of the battery will decrease significantly in low temperature environment, so it is not recommended to run the equipment at full power for a long time. Avoid frequent sudden acceleration and sudden lifting of heavy goods, reduce the driving speed appropriately on icy and slippery roads, and keep a larger safety distance from surrounding personnel and stacked goods. Do not adjust the hydraulic pressure to the maximum limit for a long time to avoid abnormal wear of the oil circuit.
Third, do a good job of post-operation maintenance after each shift. Wipe off all accumulated frost and water on the surface of the forklift in time after operation, charge the equipment to full power before placing it in the designated heat preservation storage area, do not store the forklift with low power for a long time. Regularly check whether the model of hydraulic oil and lubricating oil meets the low temperature use standard, to avoid the risk of oil circuit blockage caused by low temperature condensation.
