Before you start the 36V cooling fan replacement work for electric forklift, please confirm the whole vehicle is fully powered off, disconnect the 36V battery main switch, and wear insulated protective gloves to avoid electric shock risks. Prepare required tools in advance, including insulated screwdriver set, wire stripper, insulated tape and new qualified 36V cooling fan that matches the model.
First, open the upper protective cover of the electric forklift heat dissipation compartment, unscrew the fixed bolts around the cover plate and place the bolts in a dedicated storage box to avoid loss. Gently take off the protective cover to fully expose the old cooling fan and its connected wiring harness, clear the accumulated dust around the assembly area gently to prevent sundries from falling into the internal circuit.
Next, mark the two positive and negative connection lines of the old cooling fan with waterproof labels to avoid wrong connection during subsequent installation. Cut off the fixed binding bands of the wiring harness, disconnect the wiring terminals gently, and do not pull the wiring forcibly to prevent damage to the main vehicle circuit. Then unscrew the 4 fixed bolts that secure the fan to the mounting bracket, take out the old fan gently, and clean the dust and sundries in the installation gap of the bracket with a soft brush.
Align the new 36V cooling fan with the mounting hole of the bracket, screw on the 4 fixing bolts evenly in diagonal order to ensure the fan is fixed stably without shaking. Connect the positive and negative terminals of the fan according to the pre-marked labels, wrap the wiring joints tightly with insulated tape, and fix the harness with new binding bands to prevent the harness from touching the fan blade during operation.
After installation, do not close the protective cover first. Reconnect the 36V battery main switch, start the vehicle for a short time to observe whether the cooling fan runs smoothly, no abnormal noise, no shaking, and the air volume meets the normal heat dissipation requirements. If all indexes are normal, power off the vehicle again, install back the protective cover of the heat dissipation compartment, and tighten all fixing bolts.
