With the development of the warehousing and logistics industry towards high-density storage, high-shelf three-dimensional warehouses have become the choice of many enterprises. This type of scenario places higher requirements on the lifting height and operation flexibility of forklifts. This time, we conducted actual tests on the BYD RTR20 reach forklift in the actual high-shelf three-dimensional warehouse scenario and shared its true performance.
Lifting performance and space adaptation
The storage height of the high-shelf three-dimensional warehouse is generally in the range of 6 to 10 meters, and the highest shelf in this measurement is 8 meters. During the actual measurement process, the maximum lifting height of the forklift can be stabilized to 8.5 meters, which can easily complete the storage and storage of the highest-level goods. At the same time, the design of its forward fork arm, in the area where the shelf spacing is narrow, does not require the forklift to go deep into the shelf as a whole, and only needs to extend the fork arm to complete the pickup, which effectively reduces the requirements for the channel width and adapts to the narrow channel layout of most three-dimensional warehouses.
Operational Flexibility Test
The channel in the three-dimensional warehouse is narrow, and the steering flexibility of the forklift directly affects the operation efficiency. In the actual measurement, the minimum steering radius of the forklift is about 1.5 meters. In the channel with a width of only 3 meters, it can smoothly complete in-situ steering, U-turn and other actions without repeated adjustment of position. In addition, the control handle adopts an integrated design, which can synchronously control the fork arm telescopic, lifting and descending actions. The operator can get started quickly and maintain a high degree of operation fluency in continuous operations.
Load stability performance
Stability under load is a key indicator for high-shelf operations. This test uses a 2-ton standard load. When the fork arm is fully loaded and raised to a height of 8 meters, the overall shaking amplitude of the forklift is small, and there is no obvious tilt. In the braking test, the distance from driving to stopping under full load is short, and the braking response is timely, which can effectively avoid the risk of goods falling. At the same time, the anti-skid design of the forklift can also maintain good grip when working on smooth ground in the warehouse.
Measured energy consumption and battery life
In response to the needs of the multi-shift production industry, we tested the energy consumption performance of the forklift truck. Under the continuous operation state of 8 hours, the power consumption of the forklift is about 65% of the total power, and the remaining power can support about 4 hours of light-load operation, meeting the single-day operation needs of most enterprises. In addition, in its fast charging mode, it can replenish about 50% of the power in 1 hour, which can quickly restore the operation capacity and adapt to scenarios such as emergency replenishment.
Overall, the performance of BYD RTR20 reach forklift in terms of lifting height, operation flexibility, load stability, etc., can better adapt to the operation requirements of high-shelf three-dimensional warehouses, and is a worthy choice for warehousing enterprises with high-density storage requirements.
